This is mostly a notebook. Some of it is things I've made — a magazine, a poster, a video, a sentence that finally worked. Some of it is just things I noticed and didn't want to lose.
I don't sort neatly into one job title, so I stopped trying. Here's what's actually been going on.
Give me a lot to do and I'm happiest — that part hasn't changed since I was a kid.
Started from a blank page. I talked ten bookstores into carrying it, signed the authors myself, and learned that the vision is the easy part — the relationships are the actual work.
A running pile of visual work — some for clients, most just because I wanted to see if an idea would work.
Bits of video — some for social, some longer and more personal. I'm slow at this one but I like it too much to stop.
Scripts, brand copy, longer pieces — writing done for other people's projects, which is a different muscle than writing for myself.
In the works — probably on Xiaoyuzhou and Spotify. No episodes yet, but I'm thinking about it more than I'm admitting.
